Alternate route I-40 from Arkansas to Okla. City?
Taking a new coach across Oklahoma from Arkansas on I-40 and the last time we did that route the road was very rough. Is it still the same? Can we go another route that would be smoother but we want to stay on major highways. Will be coming from Sherman Miss. thru Memphis and across.

To purchase King Dome or not?
Debating to have option of King Dome on new motorcoach.Would only need when drycamping a few days a year or when in a park without cable. My thinking of not ordering is outside of price having to buy reciever and cost. How much is that going to cost me ? Can you get a service and just pay when needed or to you have to pay a monthly or annualy? With technologhy changing should I wait and have another satallite installed later?

Cummins 360 heating problems?
Read somewhere that the new Cummims 360hp ISC engine was experencing over heating problems. In process of ordering a new coach and this is my only option. Hope this is not so. Has anyone had this problem with this new engine.

RE: Dealers not willing to negotiate
We researched then priced all recomended Tiffin dealers before we ordered our Phaeton coach last month. Best deal was from Shermans RV which is in Mississippi but only 40 miles from factory. Worked with Karen, she is super, and you will not beat their deal. Small dealership but was $12,000 less than Lazy Days and only two others were close. Give them a call or e=mail before you decide and you wlll be happy you did.

Help with new TomTom
We just purchased new TomTom one XL and love it so for except tried to send us down the road to a swamp! Two questions. 1. Do you keep mount on window at all times or remove it, thought it would get worn by keep removing it, but it is hard to remove TomTom from mount while mounted. 2. Do you need to recharge from home or is plugging in while on road, and keeping plugged ,suffecient? Any other advise on this unit would be helpfull since this is our first one.

Hydraulic HWH Vs. Electric Atwood Jacks
Looking at a 2008 Phaeton with Atwood jacks standard and is an upgrade og $1400 for HWH. Tiffin says they have been using Atwoods for some time with little problem. We had HWH before with no problems for 6 years. Any other mfgs. using Atwood jacks and is the $1400 worth it.

2 Questions on purchasing 2008 Phaeton
In process of purchasing 2008 Phaeton and have two questions.
1. You can now order Spartan Chassis instead of Freightliner on 40 ft. Comes standard on 42 ft. I understand Spartan is supposidy the Cadillac of chassis but is this a prototope chassis just for Tiffin and will be only mfg. so many. Does anyone have more info on this and should I just go the safe route with the Freightliner. 2. CCC where can I check this, understand this could be a problem. with some 40 footers and weight distribution.

Purchasinf 2008 Phaeton Best deal
Looking at purchasing 2008 Phaeton, either ordering or in stock. Dealers quoting 20% off msrp. Best we got was 25% off msrp. Is 25% the best we can get. We are paying cash with no trade in.
with this economy and fuel cost we thought we could do a little better.
Any dealers out there with better deals?

Garmin nuvi 200 or tom tom 3rd edition
Looking at two low end gps that we can take back and and forth from motorcoach to tow vehicle. What kind of mount do they have ? Do both have voice guidance and annouce street names? How are the portable ones powered, battery or plug in?

Satellite Dish or not on new MH
Did not have a satellite dish on prev. mh and thinking of ordering a new Phaton. What are the costs involved (reciever, monthly service)etc? We usually stay a campgrounds with cable and amtenna has been sufiecent for 6 year when dry camping. We have HD and digital at home and enjoy it but were wondering if the expense of a satellite is worth it? I reliaze that most of the new coaches come with one. Need your input.

Towing 4 down 2008 Saturn Vue XE
Before I purchased the 4 cyl. 2008 Saturn Vue I wanted input from someone that had same vehicle to make sure it is towable 4 down. Read somewhere that only the 6 cyl. were towable 4 down.

Price of 2008 Saturn Vue XE
Thinking of purchasing a 2008 4cyl Saturn Vue. Msrp is $3K plus but with deaer preps and a couple of accent extras pushes it up to 24,500. Red tag sale of $23900. Is this a good deal with the economy like it is? What are you finding price wise in purchasing a new vehicle and we are not usiing 0% financing, paying cash.
